Rafael Soriano nacido en Cidra, Provincia de Matanzas, Cuba, en 1920; Soriano vive en Miami, Florida desde 1962. En 1943 se graduó de la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes "San Alejandro" en La Habana, Cuba, y mas tarde fue uno de los fundadores y profesor de la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Matanzas. Su primera exposición individual se llevó a cabo en el Club Liceo de La Habana en 1947. Lo que sique es su extensa bibliografia.
